the loss of Oran Park is a farking travesty. what an amazing track.
and they clearly need to build a housing estate there cause Narellan has run out of land.....NOT!!! greedy idiots killing Oz Racing history, and the only GP circuit in Oz.

I was there for the last round of the v8's there in 08. The mood was so strange as we all knew this fantastic ciruit was no longer going to be around and there was nothing we could do. The damb B#$#(ds even had brochure for "ORAN PARK TOWN". i couldnt be more annoyed.
Was a great day. Even walked around the track at the end of the day, no one seemed to mind, hopefully the guys who own it will see through their promise and build another one.
Thats another good TRACK not street circuit gone. Warwick farm, oran park, what will go next!!!
lets not forget that Amaroo Pk went down the same route... when i first came to Syd in 95 I was lucky enough to get there to watch some super touring racing... got close and personal to the racing and all the pit crews... them were the days.

after going OP........I'm so over the distance to wakefield............insanely far away.
There was a formula one circuit at warwick farm, its been gone for years since the horse racing consumed it. It would be killer if it was still there. It would be a 10 minute work there to watch the racing.
Guess motorsport in general doesn't get a big rap out here. You wait 5 more years and they will threaten the lot. So sad
It was a fun day, even if it was just the south track. Not as well organised as Eastern Creek, but cheaper and a good bunch of guys that respected each others daily drivers. If anyone is interested, I have a few pics and vids I can post up.
