Thats just the fastest cars . With 200 cars entered you cant expect all of them to run 6 second passes ! People are actively encourgaged to enter cars !!

run a 20, run a 9.. who cares! its about just getting in there. we were having bets who'd be the slowest and suprisingly most of us were much quicker then we thought
          What’s behind you doesn’t matter..

I'm pretty keen to come over with the VR6, but i want to know what sort of things they are going to be looking for in scrutineering (if any). I don't want get all the way over and find out that i can't have a run.

Also any idea yet on cost?

How many runs do you normally get at WSID?

Also anyone with a stock Mkv5 Golf GT TDI or TSI showing up? Would be interesting to see how the Mk6 TSI compares.

                      How does it work?

Can you guys race against each other since we'd most likely be in the same class?
Any 4motion VWs planning on coming?

I don't know drag rules, but I don't feel comfortable going up against tuned evo or sti...

Also there is no event (Drag Combat) listed under 21st March on WSID's site?

GTom: don't you have two programs & have a 'stock' version as well as the APR tune?

All: Anyone know a good place to get a cheap helmet? I suppose with 118KW at the engine I won't exactly need a top of the range one with the bells & whistles.

with the helmet you'll need to make sure it fits the track requirements
ill try and get some more info for you and find where you can purchase one

the date 21st March is correct
its on during the day not at night

we will have our own class and be racing only against each other (so long as we have a large enough group)

basically you get there on the day theres a drivers brief then scrutinering (this is for the car and yourself to be sure you have the right gear and your car follows regulation)
then you wait till they call your class line up and race
depending on how many cars there are on the day you should get a fair few runs

im just giving you info as a spectator from the last event i havnt raced at WSID yet but i will be collect info shortly and can update everyone then

                              ETA: sorry i stand corrected
the date for the drags is actually the 28th march
                              sorry !!!!

I'm in. Sounds like a kickass day out.

Looking forward to giving the Skoda a stab down the 1/4.

When I fill out the online form, what sort of class am I supposed to select? is it Street Compact?

Have there been any further developments with getting our own class?
