Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

pssssttt.... pssssstttt.... use the right pedal and turn

... and don't follow the Pogo's woot woot!!

It was actually good driving along and hearing the sounds of the turbo's spool in sequence echoing off the rock on the side of the road.

Alistair and I had a great heated run by ourselves for a bit (no MK5 R32/GTi in sight ), then caught up to the rest of the group unfortunately who were stuck behind some crappy ute, was a good day, except it is going to cost me an arm and a leg, due to falling in love with his supercharger

                  great day people!

to the new VWW's, hope you enjoyed the day enough to stick around the scene

great to meet new people, always a good laugh.

Also enjoy setting the pace up the front of the pack, hope the people behind didnt mind the soot (which was nothing compared to Tony's GTI haha)

Finally I got to try out the reefton spur and was pleasantly surprised at how well my piddly little 1.6 slow (thanks for reminding me Josh!) kept up....well on the twistys anyway, the straights were just down right embarrasing!!!!

Thanks guys, now I have to look for a power upgrade!! After some bigger brakes though..... I got a little too close to a blue hilus on one corner....

I think the general consensus was that its better run in reverse. Less traffic and less strain on the cars brakes as its mostly up hill.

Shame u werent there! Andrea come along just to spend quality time with you
