Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • QLD Detailing class/GTG

Ok guys after a few people asked Mickey for a detailing class while he was here, I have a better idea Dave at Waxit in Lawnton runs a class for a minum number of people, cost is $30

Held on a Saturday afternoon I am sure we could organise an exclusive VWWC one if we can get enough people together. So before I go to him with options etc I would like a rough idea on a number of people who would like to attend the only date available this year is the 28th of November.

    payment details are as follows
Here is how to go about registering and paying for the clinic.

    1. Follow this link: http://waxit.com.au/products.asp?cat=61
    2. Click on “add to cart” (bottom right corner)
    3. When you are returned to the item, click on “checkout” (top right hand corner)
    4. Fill in personal details and in the “additional comments” section enter your forum user name
    5. Enter the coupon Code VWWC this will indentify the member and provides a $5.00 discount so the total payable is $30.00. ( I have removed shipping from this item so there won’t be the usual $12.50 charge show up)
    6. This page also has payment options, only Paypal or Credit Card can be used, no payments on the day or direct deposit (email) payments for this one.
    7. You will get an emailed response from the site confirming your order and an official Waxit invoice will be emailed later on. This Waxit invoice must be presented on the day…it is your ticket.

Please note that I have only allowed for 15 coupons and the coupon expires on 27th of November.

Finally please ensure that members understand that this is a Brisbane only clinic…if they can’t get to Brisbane on the day it isn’t worth registering.

Whats in it for $30? Use of different polish/buffer etc? I'd be interested to see what could be done with some of my rubber seals etc, any chance of that too?

I told Jason I'd word up on the support for him so here it is.

While I could dish out advice while I'm up there, it's basically pointless me doing so if someone like Dave is running a cheap course like this. I did one with Carcareproducts down here in Sydney and I'm telling everyone now it was the best course I've ever learnt anything from!

You'll have your questions answered, you'll be able to learn how to take care of cars properly, you'll probably also have a sick time with lots of products to use and some mates to see and a good bbq or something for lunch so this is DEFINITELY worth it!

Definitely interested. Where abouts in Bris and at what times?

There are so many differing responses with regards to detailing, it'll be good to get together and talk about it.
