ok everyone, regarding pets within the show

after a few looong chats with fellow member, relatives, council's and strangers.

i have come to decide that its not wise to have pets in the showgrounds, for reasons such as damage to cars or injuries to people or other animals, unfortunately the public liability insurance i have for the show also does not cover pets within the showgrounds also, so unfortunately there are to be NO pets at SEDF, sorry guys but this isn't one of my rules, its pretty much the law.

the closest car wash i think to the park is on the same road. cnr plenty rd and grimshaw st. 2 minutes away.

It's actually the corner of Plenty Rd & Settlement road (only like 100m further anyway).

There is also a car wash on the corner of Grimshaw st & Macorner St/Watsonia Road, and I think there are new car washes that have been built on Plenty Road but down the Kingsbury side, but don't quote me on that

dude your gunna find this pretty hard telling people who are coming for a look they cant come in if they have a dog. that day the german shepherd club or the other dog obedience club runs in the park, so i dare say alot of them will pop in for a look. you've seen that park on weekends, its full of em'.

ill have no trouble telling them they cant come in, its a matter of risking the whole future of the show if dogs come in, if something happends to someones car or son or daughter, im at fault, i get in trouble so im not risking it

just put a sign at the entrance "Sorry no pets allowed due to public liability concerns" or something like that.

Then you can just blame it on the sign

Dom, also make up a waver so if someone has an issue, you can have them sign the waver so it puts it on there shoulders, covering your as* and the clubs and I would be happy to help police this with you.
