The drive from Beaudesert to Lyons road.


We had to pull over for a bit as we got a bit separated and there was confusion.


However this stop gave salem a chance to try and reattach his exhaust bush mechanic style with cable ties and and an elastic strappy thing (one of nearly half a dozen such stops)...


Also gave me a chance to take this photo which I quite like...


We finally met up again once we got sick of waiting and kept moving and then ran into the other group heading back the other way. We then headed up Lyons road across the boarder and stopped at the Rail Loop Lookout (I'm sure it has a proper name but I don't know it).










There was also a couple of nice Ducatis at the lookout including two of these wicked old school ones.

After a bit of a chat to find out what happened and who went where we proceeded to drive the road.

Lots of fun with lots of bumpy rickety bridges. For the most part we only crossed the bridges one at a time. There were a couple of bumpy drop bits which I had to go slow for but really there were no issues with the road at all. A few bumps on corner entries here and there also help to keep you awake and on your toes.





Once we were back on a main road we headed back up and across the border and stopped after it to have a chat and let salem fix his exhaust again...

Finally we stopped just outside of Rathdowney at a park for lunch.

And yes I did 214 kilometers for that fuel consumption and thta 206.7 is from a full tank of fuel (62L)! Final fuel consumption for the day was down at 12.6L/100km over 309kms.
