A Drive/trip also? it might be to much but the VW Club of Vic do a trip to merimbula for a weekend i think? I ran into them once, looked awesome the combi/bettles rolling through town and stopped at the park, was only 10-15 or so of them, but they still stood out!

Wish i had made it to this one. Thumbs up to organisers!

There was also an RS4 that was by chance parked in the car park. I think he was a random dude that just walked past checking out the show, and then drove off.

That 'random dude' was me - didn't turn up by chance either. Knew it was on but was thinking there'd be some Audis there.

When I first turned up at 4pm there was just a handful of VWs so I ran a few errands and popped back around 45 minutes later.

There was a few more cars at that point so I parked and had a bit of a look at the line-up. Whilst I was there the 80 pulled up.

Thought I'd seen all there was to see so didn't stick around.

So this talk of a hillclimb, is it limited to VW's only?

the hill climb will be for anything mate, just to get the numbers up as we will need about 25/30 cars....i will start a new post once i have sorted out all the info

There's also a Group 5 Hillclimb coming up on 27 September at the new Haunted Hills track.

I'll be there, it would be nice to have some company.

This event is part of the group 5 speed event series.

The usual CAMS stuff applies of course.

Hillclimbs are great fun, although I'm still remembered by VWCV members for wiping out the timing equipment at the old Morwell track 20 years ago.

I'd be up for a VWWatercooled event too of course.
