As most people will tell you, starting with a stock car on the track is great, then you can modify and feel the car as it starts to perform better...

I, on the other hand, have always put it off...New suspension, new motor, new brakes, seats, etc, etc...I have to pull my finger out!!!

Remember that mk1 racer on sunday, well that had it's first track adventure in stock form, from there it grew into the beast you see today...

Unfortunately, the phillip island website, www.piarc.com.au does not show any coming events for 2007... But, I'll keep you guys updated...

Same. Gunter started with an old passat 1.6 sc, deisel gearbox and std brakes. No rego ect. ect......
I did a couple of road events in my old mk2 2 door and decided that was too rare and good to damage so I then fixed up Gunter to rego status. Ended up with a 9A twin cam, 5 speed, passenger seat aect. You have to learn to crawl before you walk.
If you can drive a relatively standard car fast then when you make improvements to suspension and brakes you become a much faster driver!

Sounds like you all had a great day... Unfortunatley i wasnt able to make it beacuse i was on the Great Vic Bike Ride, but it all seems you had a great water cooled turn out...

Lets hope more water coolers next year
