I am going to make a big effort to make this, might put my time off request in now come to think of it. Ill most likely make a long weekend of it with the misses and staying with friends. Hopefully the MK3 will be in a decent long trip driveable condition and be a tad more reliable than it is at the moment, along with some new goodies and paint
Cant wait!

We will be leaving early on Friday morning and returning Monday morning. Just need to make sure I get the time off from work.
I think I have found the accommodation location, stored that + the nearest Adli store + Cranbourne Racecourse in my TomTom.sigpic

I have just decided to buy a City Link pass for the using the SE Freeway from the Western Ring Route. This will cost over $12
On the return I will use the Nepean Hwy for free.
I've already tried TomTom with it, and both ways are the same amount of time, 10hrs 10mins.
Only 4 weeks to go!!sigpic

Might be a waste of money to use Citilink on Friday afternoon. when they first advertised it they claimed 100kph - now you'll be lucky to get through it at 40kph.....Originally posted by WEDEL.1 View PostI have just decided to buy a City Link pass for the using the SE Freeway from the Western Ring Route. Dandenong road is likely to be faster, get back on the arterial at Warrigal road.
Beware to take the correct exit lane - all that's changed in the last week or two, and your tomtom will be a dumbdumb to these changes.sigpic

You could use the Nepean and cut across to Cranbourne.Originally posted by WEDEL.1 View PostGerhard, what about Nepean?
Could be better than getting back on the arterial at Warrigal.
But I travel in peak hour about once a year, so I am not an expert on the best way to go on Friday afternoon peaksigpic
