Had a big car and hotrod show down here yesterday. A few of the local VW enthusiasts entered to show off their pride and joys. The white Beetle is fellow forum member Kristi's. Kristi and myself were there representing the forum.
It was more of a hotrod/vintage and doof doof show put on by Shannons. Over 200 cars and bikes. Lots of restored toranas and show ponies, only a few to get excited about. I prefered the really old cars there. In fact we left there at about 1 pm and went out to Baskerville to watch cars actually moving! Would have been interesting for the people that like lots of chrome and glitz.
The inclement weather didn't help either, we spent a lot of time at the Eastlands shopping centre drinking hot chocolates ect!
Saw a few watercooled forum guys walking around just when we were leaving.
Nice clean tidy VWs there! I reckon the Mk4 just need lowered... 4motion wheels?? candy white and tornado red are my most perferable colour on GTIs, and nice to see some clean Bugs!
Hi Carlson. That would be THE cleanest mk4 around Hobart by far. Wheels come off every fortnight to clean under the arches. Bora wheels apparently.
And we colourcoded the mk5s which sets them apart from the others. Always a bit of a competition between Kerren and myself to have the cleanest mk5. Cheers, Andrew
Kristi's beetle is very clean and pampered. She loves it heaps. Just got to get her into a Golf soon as well!!! Well K?
Wot the!!!! I just gave you a new beetle yesterday Kristi! and now you want a Golf? Not likely girl!
Had a good day anyway. Thanks!
( I suppose that if you had an old Golf then that would have been one there at least!)
Would have been a shocker on the river delux. I actually thought of you out there. Snow on the mountain early and a windy with showers. That would have woken you up out there on the yacht mate!
Yeah it was a bit fresh! Was a great day though. Good close racing made you forget about the cold until you finished and found yourself shivering!
It's a worry when the water starts feeling warm......
Not many trees to get shade from the wind and rain out there on the river either, only a sail. We stood under tres and talked rubbish while the showers happened. Kristi is good at talking that! (joke!!)
The weather came right in the afternoon at least!
