WA [WA] VW Club cruise 17th May

Hi guys,
I've been asked if we would like to organise the next run for the VW Club of WA on Sunday 17th May. I'll need to get back to them next week with a start point & destination so they can lock it in for the next magazine etc.

Had a couple of ideas so far, including BBQ lunch at Churchman's Brook or Mundaring then head through the hills down to Dwellingup or similar, or a drive up to Gingin like the last run they had.

So, let me know if you have any other suggestions & we can decide for next week. It doesn't have to be a long drive (as there will be some aircoolers who might not keep up otherwise hehe ) but a couple of stops, points of interest etc along the way would make it a good day.

you just need to look at my bonnet to see how bad it is up here, the government has these "good" idea's about repairing the perfectly good roads. Its going to be a proper meeting isnt it geoff? eg aircoolers aswell?

yeh me too, but i think ur only saying it because of ur brakes...the truth comes out hehe

I cooked the brakes coz the pads were too new. They are still not 100% so even if i do go for a cruise i wont be using them more than normal. I think there is some air in the ABS pump that is a pain in the bum to get out. I guess a visit to Joe would fix it

Y'all need to get some ceramic clear coat happening. Then your paint will be chipper (pardon the pun ).

Righto, to celebrate 'National Motoring Heritage Day 2009' in conjunction with the Volkswagen Club of WA (Inc) I've sorted out the following -

Sunday 17th May
Meeting 10am at DNA Tower Kings Park
Depart 10:30 or there abouts for York.
Don't forget your cameras!

We will be having lunch at York, and then visiting the York Motor Museum. The Museum houses the oldest VW Beetle in Australia and several other classic VWs will be on display for us & we may get a guided tour as well.

Musuem entry is $5.50 (discounted for group bookings);
free entry for VW Club members (tbc).

Following that, we'll drive back through Northam & Toodyay inc O'Brien Rd (for the brave!)

So book this in your calendars now! Audis et al welcome, I'll get a list of attendees going closer to the date for booking purposes etc.

I found this website, i dont know how good the product is and how difficult it would be to get it on, but could be a great way to protect against stone chips and bugs at the same time.
