I was just looking at some of the other mk4 dynos on youtube, and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWtqY...eature=related this one was running FWD only. One of the comments stated that by removing a fuse will do this.
Out of curiosity, if you run in FWD only, will it deliver more KW on the dyno?

Yes.
you now do not have rear wheel driveline loss.

sorry, let me rephrase my question. any thoughts on what different numbers would be obtained from AWD to RWD readouts?
On a different note, my son owns a Verada. He is following a thread about a guy who is modding his Verada (supercharger etc) and he converted it from auto to manual and gained another circa 30WKW just from that

With AWD you can have issues with bias F/R wheel bias etc
This then can induce problems with F wheels spinning at a different rate to R wheels which then can through the ECU and other black boxes into a tiff reducing power to the wheels to try and control them. Yes some cars you can turn all the safety electronics off like Stability control and Traction control.
There was a car on the dyno that spat the dummy because the driver did not turn off traction and stability control - he through codes and had all warning lights light up on the dash saying there were brakes and ABS faults etc.
That is why turning car into AWD into FWD gives a better indication to engine power.
There are numbers out there from previous Dyno days with AWD cars tested in AWD vs FWD but you will have to search.

Sorry guys, I didn't put the Pirelli on this time. I was only there to put my mates WRX on, which got 269Kw at all 4 wheels.
But what I can tell you is that in the latest Tarmac magazine they had the Pirelli on CV Performance's Dyno and it got 139.7Kw at the wheels. They also said it is now the fastest production Front wheel drive in Australia with a 0-100 in 6.0sec and a 14.1 Quarter mile. It was up against the MPS3, XR5, JCW Mini, VXR Nur & Clio Sport (Megane R26 wasn't available unfortunately). Well worth the read.
It was good meeting everyone there. Well done to everyone that did go on the Dyno.
