Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • QLD Townsville Cruise.

Had a pretty good Dubbing weekend up here in sunny(and now rainy again) Townsville. The local boys from qldstreetscene.com.au and us watercoolers(MR JLT aka Jay, Kadena aka Steve, and myself) got together and went for a bit of a drive up to Rollingstone Pub, and then to the beach...I got a couple of pics, but my camera wont upload them, but here a couple from other blokes...

    Jays Mk4 R32

    My Polo GTI

Also had a boosted new Swift, a fully worked on mini tubs Plymouth Barracuda, a few Jap imports, and a selection of Aussie V8's that were quite surprised at the VW's performance.

Hey Blitzen, Im going to be up your way later this year, probably around the August stage, But Do you reckon there would be many people up for a drive up to Cairns, then back through the tableland ranges, probably either Gillies Hwy, or up through Kuranda Range, (the latter would be better cause its a little more open) then back down the road through the palmerston Hwy then back home, or is it a little to far for everyone???
