Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    5 am?!

    not early enough...

Does anyone know of any where better in sydders than the F1? some of the company wasn't too flash last time! any other ideas?

I think I might be leaving a little bit earlier even, to get a bit of a head start in the diesel, that way I can cruise up the hume, as opposed to peggin it all the way..

there are probably plenty of other budget motels around sydney that can accomodate us for a similar price. But most of the other ones i have stayed at were seriously festy. At least F1 motels are relatively clean. Even if the pro next door is screaming all night.

yea, I was hoping for something a bit more motel like.

surely there must be something relatively clean in, even if it's not as close to where we were last time.,.?

You'll have to make sure she's about 39+ then!

Good to see 2 big events finally not on at Easter - The Nationals ( since 1988 ) & The BUG-IN ( since 1974 ). That means we'll hopefully be able to catch up with some of you guys in Bendigo at Easter as a result. But sorry we can't hang around until the end of May for the Nationals as it's not an overnight from Perth.

                        hows 70-120 a night sound?
we will be staying there for 3 nights

with this price it gives us alot of options
im one for a nice $120 a night hotel

guys screw staying in the sticks again. i reckon you should stay as close as you can to the city that still has parking; driving to the show from the city on sunday isnt an issue it only takes half an hour down the M5.

if you stay close to the city theres so many things within easy access:
                              • beach
                              • pubs
                              • clubs
                              • cafes
                              • restaurants

no need to stay out in bum****ville again
