Thanks for turning up boys. Great to see you, and thanks to Phaeton (Ben) for helping out judging & running erands.

I'm waiting for Julia to return from getting Thai take away, a couple of Brandy & Cokes then to bed.

I'll post my few pics soon.

Hope to get more of us out next year! I'll post the judging criteria next year, I think that will help you understand where you need to spend your time cleaning.

    Maris

PS: Where were you Barney Boy?

PPS: Thai is closed, it's Indian....

Brilliant day a credit to the club. Agree about next year we'll sort out the criteria and some judges for late models to help as discussed. Really great to see the std of mk1's there!

Another good day out. Hopefully we can generate some more interest for next time and get some Polo GTIs there?

I overheard a comment from some people looking at greasy's Mk I as to the originality of the wheels. Standard Mk I steels, they looked terrific!

Thanks! I heard that comment too as soon as I rocked up. The previous owner had them re-painted after feedback from the 2005 DOVW. They're a bugger to keep clean though!

The GTi. Kind of trumps all else really.

That GTI used to come out years ago, then we didn't see it for ages until last year & this year. Used to have red rims once, which I think look better than the grey ones, which are from an Audi.
