QLD [QLD]Mountain Cruise! 11th of January 2009

Just came back from a drive from Nerang to Natural Bridge.....I'll probably have to say it's one of the best roads I have ever driven on. It's a bit easier than Mt.Mee (the last trip) since the turns aren't as sharp or narrow but you get a much longer drive with IMO even better scenery to distract you from driving.

Anyways! From the suggestion posted I've redone the route a bit and I think it works out quite well.

We will still be meeting at Yatala BP @ 7.am, anyone is welcome to join us. The whole trip is about 150 km to and back to the motorway, so it's not too long. However, we'll probably stop over at the Natural Bridge National Park after we arrive and have a walk around the circuit they have there. It's really quite a beautiful place for people that haven't been there and we can also get some exercise after sitting in the car for about a hour or two.

Well whats a cruise without dramas huh! Firstly, we get to Thunderbird Park and realise we left someone at the Yatala BP cuz he was on the crapper when we left so we hung around for Charlie to go back and retrieve him, seemed like we were all waiting a frikin lifetime for mr blue rex to re-join us then as we were leaving, mr blue rex decides to roll back into the front of the T.Makinen edition evo and busts a hole in his cooler! mr makinen was pissed and made plenty of rude comments including "this is what happens when evo's mix with rexies" or sumfin!? wtf, so both of them left in a huff. the police nabbed a blue evo at the back of the pack for supposedly doing 104 in an 80 zone, some of us felt bad and chipped in $30ea for the $330 fine. Then lastly, as we all were leaving Natural Bridge, I lost my frikin car key! and somehow randomly found it laying like 3 carparking spots up from me?! holy shizzle huh!

After all said and done, it ended up being a great day out mixing with top peeps and hopefully making some wicked mates

I've seen Mr I Win around the place, a pretty serious Skyline indeed. I'd like to see him up against Mr Tommi Makkinen though. Actually I'd like to see anyone versus Mr Tommi Makkinen, short of some pretty serious track day specials nothing is going to come close to him through the corners.
