Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Go Kart night, Hobart

OK. So we have a Go Kart night on Friday night the 11th August at the Hobart show grounds starting at 7 pm. Just leave your brain at the gte but bring your sense of humour! Cost is $35 each for 2 hours + of mayhem. PLEASE imform us if you plan on going as the place is booked and we need to know the numbers. BYO food and drink as required but no alcohol is allowed.
Another highly sociable and enjoyable night is guaranteed. Organised by shiny Bob as a VW association do.

Providing the back is ok i will be there, last year was great. We should have a team grand prix, teams of two or three and 15 laps per driver. Keep pitting and running out until the laps are gone. Had a night with the Italian car club like this and it was unreal.

Last time there she was 14, never driven one before and did me proud! Didn't beat me though! Weight, or lack of it works to her advantage.

Be good to get all the go fast boys out for a blat. Plenty of Tassie fellas in the scene, enough to fill the needs of a grand prix night i think we need 15 or so for the proper race.

Plenty of "Real" drive times to come, this is just a bit of fun, you know novelty , time before last we blew up two karts, not so much fun when you do that to your own car. All different clubs get out there and have a thrash, its good fun for a change.
