Looks like fun. Maybe I'll have to overcome my shyness and tag along next time.
On another note, I saw a red MK2 GTi on Unley Rd about 5pm today. Very nice looking from what I could see (it was going in the opposite direction).

Good to meet you lot too. It was a shame we got stuck behind traffic and lost you all on the way back but the run there was totally worth it.
Looking forward to the next one, that run was the first time i have taken my mk1 for a realy good fang. I will make sure for next time i am redlining at 7600 instead of 5000, and after having to back off on the corners abit i think coilovers and some bigger rims are in order (my little 13's just don't cut it).
