The Annual VWW Dyno Day is happening again!

Here's your chance to run your car on a Mainline AWD dyno and compare your results to other similar cars. This year we're running on a new independent dyno so there should be no excuses!!!

It's on Saturday 13th July at Custom Importz, 4-6 / 27 Lindsay Road, Lonsdale SA.

Cost is $50 FWD and $60 AWD.

Reply to this thread with the car(s) you're looking to run and I'll add them to the start list.

Preference will go to VAG then other Euro if there's space. Dyno day starts at 10am and will go as long as there are cars to run!

Yes well it's a bit of a mix in reality. You can't deny Facebook as a tool to reach a wider audience. But there's a few "old schoolers" that I post up here for too

Bump for the dyno day which is getting run next weekend. We currently have 15 starters (but no limit).

The dyno will keep running until we either run out of cars or sausages for the BBQ.

Dyno Day starts 10am today at Custom Importz, Lonsdale (new venue). $50 2WD and $60 AWD pay the dyno centre when you arrive.

Bring some loose change for the BBQ and cans will be on sale for $1.

Looking forward to seeing everyone down there later this morning (spectators welcome). Depending on final numbers we should finish up around 2:30-3pm.

What happened to No. 3 - no result (halex)?

Also, with your result, does that mean you are probably close to 300kW at the flywheel?

For the car with the Haldex issue they discovered that there was no power/torque getting transferred to the rear wheels while on the dyno so wasn't going to give a reasonable result. This is not an uncommon issue with the earlier MK7 Golf R's which was rectified to a large extent with a software update.

I'm pretty sure it would be over 300kw at the flywheel as the DQ500 is around 25-30% drivetrain loss.
