Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • NSW State Hillclimb Bathust Mt Panorama March 2nd

    Hi all,

Just thought I'd put it out there that the first two rounds of the NSW State Hillclimb Championship will be run at Mt Panorama on March 2nd and 3rd, 2019. Day 1 consists of standing start runs from conrod straight going up the esses/dipper and finishing at skyline. Day 2 is in the normal race direction starting half way up mountain straight and finishing at MacPhillamy.
If you're not a regular of the NSW State Hillclimb Championship, you can still do this round (or any round actually) provided you also pay for the Championship. So 50 bucks to be registered in the championship and then 300 bucks to be able to race both days. You'll need a CAMS L2S license. I enter in the road registered class in my 9N3. There's a Golf R, myself and a couple of beetles normally but we need more watercooleds'.
Its a great chance to get a run at the fabled track in both directions, camp over night (free) on top of the mountain with the pretty much the whole field (human and animal wildlife), have food/drinks/presentations at the Bathurst light car club on Saturday night, and then drive home shot to ribbons on sunday night.

Throwing it out there to gauge interest. If anyone is interested get on here and I'll post the entries, info etc
