Lakeside Raceway Brekkie and Laps Saturday November 24

I’ve never done one of these brekkie and laps days before. Can I drive at “fun” speed on track (is fast but not trying to break any record) or is it a cruising speed only?

I’ve done one event with skid control before and that was a fun few laps on track in my car. Is this something similar?

no it is not. just think of it as driving on a very quiet and safe twisty, and within the limits which they will tell during briefing.

the skid control event is a track day with helmet and if anyone comes off or skids or drifts briefly on the track, the show still keeps going.

with happy laps though, if anyone comes off or skids or drifts briefly on the track; the whole session is ended regardless. say first lap out at 2 minutes on the track someone does it, the 30 minutes session is ended prematurely.

I’ve just been informed that my daughter has a ballet concert which clashes with the event, so I’m going to have to bow out.

Weak! You can get those moments back no problem. There’ll be plenty of ballet concerts. She won’t even know you’re not there. Happy Laps only happens several times per year!
