I think you should be saying Eddy Vs Jason, which is where the problem lies.
I have the problem of accepting defeat to Jason. .
We missed each other at the meet because I got there late, he got 14.4's & as for me, I washed & waxed her but still couldn't do a thing with her, only managed 14.6 (top of 97m.p.h.)
When the Little Blue Girl was new with just APR stage one, I managed a 14.7
Now that I have a lot more grunt, I found that I just couldn't control 1st gear, hey but what a beast she is, I love her. (wife is jealous)
I had three runs & only just lost one of them, the first run was with a XR6, he left me for dead at the start but then "FLEW" past him, afterwards he said what the hell.
P.S. Me is leaving the "DRAG" seen behind for a while & let the tuff boys have their fun.

hey eddy, sorry bout last night had family commitments anyhow are u leaving t.c on or switching it off? cause i honestly am finding with it on i get better launches. mind you all my runs where pretty much 14.4 with one 14.6 which honestly felt faster then any of the others lol

Never forgot to switch the ESP off.

Not if you don't put your foot flat to the floor, it doesn't (obviously). Otherwise you would waste your time in wheel spin/axle tramp or the ESP system restricting throttle position.

Jas/Tom - shed some light on how much throttle you were using in 1st?

Where my other 3 runs times were 14.0** Was launching around RPM 2300-2500 and as everyone can tell I was wheel spinning on take off. Also believe I might have push the power a little to hard after letting go of the brakes.

Oh well see how I go next time.

But it was a fun day chatting to some of the drivers of Jap cars and they couldn't believe I pulled a 13.748 where some of them were mid 14's and higher.

It does feel more direct, just stiffened the Kw3's as well though.
I'll give her a work out next weekend at Wakefield & see how she goes.

what tyre pressures did you run & did you do anything to the suspension?

guy i can say most impressive run of the day u should have seen some guys faces when i told them 13.7 from the golf one was the lucky bastard winner from motor dutton last yr he was seriously impressed

No other mods than what you and alex have done to it.

Front were 25psi and rear were up to 50psi, no suspension work no $$$.

If I do will let you know and get the suspension you have on your GTI.

I was thinking if my car can do that yours should be easy mid to low 12s.
