Vehicles 1977 Golf 4 door on Gumtree, not really a 1 owner.

As per title, MK1 Golf on Gumtree which I'm 99% positive was the one that REVNIT sold late last year or early this year for something around $2000-3000.

So, for a tidy profit the seller is now selling this car as a 1 owner, which it can't really be if it's had 2 recent owners. Anyway, **** like this gets under my skin.

That's annoying if that's the case. However nothing to stop him trying to sell it for more.

Claiming it's a one owner, when, if it's not, is thoroughly annoying though.

I always laugh when people say stuff like "best for collector or daily drive". Those two things are clearly words apart in intended uses...

Yes that is very correct, this seller did buy it from the original owners Daughter, after he had passed away.
I did a bit of work on it for him, then he sold it to REVNIT, who played around with it a bit, then he advertised it for sale,
then the second owner brought it back from REVNIT.
I then had to rectify a few things done to it, with this time the owner telling me he was going to keep it in the family.
Hope this clears up the story, it is still an original low mileage car, in very good condition, body and mechanical wise.
Shame it's an Auto and price being asked

Regardless, $8500 he is dreaming. For that price, I'd buy Mark's Mk1 Campaigne GTI.

That still means 3 people owned it... So he is lying about how many owners and if he bought it for $2000-$3000 why go nearly three times that??? I also hate it when people do that...

I agree with the seller being able to ask whatever they want, and a small profit if you feel you got a bargain is fine, but triple+ is a bit much......that's mint 2 door/GTI money for an auto 4 door!

Technically it's had 5 owners now, 2 by the one guy and 2 in the same family, but either way, it's not a 1 owner. I very nearly bought it previously, and would consider it again if it didn't seem like I was being ripped.
