wouldn't part with that sort of cash (maybe that is the tight pom in me)
That's the realist in you. $10k is a bit steep. I'd still love to get my hands on it though.

If someone REALLY REALLY wanted a mk 2 2dr 16V in Oak green and IF it was in really good nick, then yea, the right person would pay that sort of money for it.

But none of us are really the right person for this car clearly.. I'd say it's got a better chance at 5-7k, but still you've gotta find someone that wants one, as 5-7K is still a reasonable amount to pay for a 20+yo hot hatch, that probably needs a bit of TLC.

        I would pay 5k for a valver...maybe 6 but that is only because I think 8v's are only worth upto 4 / 4.5k max

As you said Jarred, the right person will pay the money...Remember Simon sold his Red 16v for 14K 2 years ago.

exactly Velly. I do believe that that was also in expectional condition, and I don't think would have needed my $$ or TLC spent on it, which broadens it's appeal to a wider (and better heeled) audience (imo)

I'm back in the UK, and they're getting harder to find, and getting more expensive! I do wonder if this is a valver though?? Glovebox badge is there, RA's, Bee Sting .... then the clocks? Weird! Electric window failure so they put winders in?? Full leather is unusual too.

There's a thread about it already

Has anybody been to see it?
                          It's very tempting!!!!
It came from Ireland so rust has to be a worry.

Looks pretty good and genuine to me. Engine bay shot is there 16v kjet.
Best colour with black leather. I reckon its worth that much all day to the right buyer.
You lot make me laugh, you always bash down the price of cars for sale until you come to sell your own.
Hope it goes to a good home, good luck to the seller. Nice Car
