            Damm!! thats pretty cheap.

If I have the time and space I'd seriously consider that. Someone buy this and put up a build thread.

How easy is it to ship something like this from Tassie to Sydney?

I believe its pretty easy...never done it myself though...
Not sure what companies go from Georgetown but you could try Allied Pickfords - pretty sure they do door to door.
Worth giving them a call to get a quote.

A long time before most of you even knew what a VR6 was this belonged to el_foolio and I beleive Ed C was building it but peopel ran out of $$$ and life took over etc. Ed has done most pf the hard work im pretty sure.

Yeah i remember this from the now defunct OZ Edition. All the hard work is done, engine is in. Bit of time, effort and more money this will be a cracking MK1.

A VR6 is a narrow V angle 6 cylinder engine produced by Volkswagen. It featured in many cars from the Mk3 Golf in 2.8l capacity through to a 3.6l in the Passat R36.

Obviously the MK1 Golf didn't have a VR6 from the factory but many have been converted. A big engine in a small car is always fun. Being quite heavy it may make the car a bit nose heavy and compromise cornering ability but clever suspension setup will negate this.
