Without taking anything away from this car, which I have seen at CGTI and is very tidy. It didn't leave the factory as a G60, although it has been converted well in the UK. If you check the photo's you can see the UK rego, pre-fixed with an E which makes it an 87/88 car.

Anyone buying it here would be well advised to get a front mount intercooler on it sharpish, that tiny one above the gearbox just couldn't cope in the UK, so here would be a big handicap.

It's RHD for a start, they never made them. Only the Corrado came out in RHD.

hey all, just wanted to clear things up to help out.

Yes it's not a true g60, never stated it was.

Just wanted to point out that this car was a team effort and I had many people on this forum help out in amazing ways to get it here all the way from the UK and can't thank them enough!

I did previously try to sell it with what I admit was an ambitious price but hey young and stupid.

Yes I love this car but I also want to try something new and different so want to give the opportunity for someone else to enjoy what I love about this car.

Call it a joke but it is what it is, and there is few like it here in Aus

I think it's awesome and still a mega rare car in oz. A car is worth what someone's willing to pay?
If people were really interested in the g60 you'd think they would research it previously anyhow and know this isn't original.
In a way I guess it's better as it's RHD and all....

Collector cars usually demand matching nos so its just another Mk2 GTI non original.
What the hell its still a nice car!
