Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Be worth the ride to try the diff out Also he could have got pictures that even on a 17 inch monitor, weren't the size of stamps!!

Looks/sounds to be a well sorted car, $13500, not so sure.

It's a AWU Turbo engine - great unit to base a performance upgrade on

What's not in the blurb is any mention of suspension or brake upgrades
With that sort of power, using it is going to be a real challenge

            Price is, well...

337hp is about 250kw, still not quite possible to get out of a 1.8T

that's an achievable power figure. however, it would require a very well built engine!

AWU is from the new Beetle I believe and came with 110kw stock.

Seller says it has been "enhanced with new turbo manifold and bigger turbo". Maybe 337kw can be achieved... with boost wound up to 100psi...

337kw is achievable but you'd need at least a gt35, 2L and some decent cams. Def would need more than just a turbo and manifold upgrade
