I did actually consult an engineer before I started the swap, and his main concerns were that all the emissions gear would be up to scratch (must be what the engine originally came with) and the brakes are up to scratch, which they are.
I have really just run out of motivation to do more work and spend more $$$ on this. I have other cars wanting my attention

No engineer certificate is probably putting people off tbh. Bit like that Mk1 GTI you advertised, everyone gets worried about how much time and hassle it's gonna cost them after they'd paid for the car. Is it not possible to get one sorted?
