Mate your clearly on a budget which is understandable just buy a Honda civic and you won't break the bank and won't worry about constant repairs

If its your first car you really shouldn't be so picky. All you need is 4 wheels and a steering wheel, learn how to control a car before you graduate up to GTI's. But i know, you're young & want to impress your mates and the ladies with a 'sports' car. We've all been there.

What about a Suzuki Swift, stick some GTI badges on it?

                      or a

Proton Satria GTI? Swap the badges for VW one's. No one will know.

There is a lot of choice out there. You've just got to look...

agreed. great little cars for the money (the oldskool hatchback ones), well designed and go fairly cheap. they are light, wide wheel base and if you get a good spec they have some great handling / comfort from stock.

or you can sit around here waiting for a gem to landin your lap.
