You need to wait for a good one turn up locally, you are not buying a Corolla or Mazda 3.

Both would be good cars, interiors can be a bit taddy, particular the Centre Air Vent surronds.
The 8 Valver would be a bit easier to maintain, being a M3 based car and engine.
Would be better to actually buy one locally, as buying interstate can end in tears.

Hmm mate think you will find the 8v and 16v engines are both from a MK3, 16v is the mighty ABF , worked on them right through my apprenticeship great revving engine.
