I don't quite agree people keep complaining about Mk1 being expensive, think about how much money has been injected to bring a Mk1 into such conditions.

I spent over 7K into my Mk1 and I sold it for 4K, would I sell it for 2K ?? no

Don't get me wrong Eric, I never said this car was overpriced. I think it's probably worth 3.5-4K (if it's really in as good a condition as the photo's show), However, it's only worth that much to a few people, and the 'right' buyer, might only come along once in 12 months for a car like that, at that price.

My point was, if it was 2K, it would have been sold already, cause it's "market" would have opened up significantly!

          Get me?

Should still qualify for full rego if it meets full rego requirements (in VIC atleast)

ahah yeah i spent about 7/8 including rego on mine...would ask at least 4K for it! but i have accepted i will never make my money back nor the time i spent on it...maybe in another 10 years they will be collectables? who knows

in many instances you can make more money on a mk1 through parting it out imo, which just means less on the road.

but anyway, tidy car, not sure about the styling on it lol?...i'm guessing it's a mature owner driver

It should be a swallowtail as well with that air filter and header tank, but bit hard to tell from the photos. Worth the dollars in my view.

Yep, looks like a swallowtail to me.

Very tidy car, but they usually tend to go cheap so this one might be around a while before the right buyer steps in. It's plausible that there's someone who loves and appreciates them who wants (another) one and has the cash. $4000 isn't really much for a car in the grand scheme of things.
