Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

OK, here goes.
Car is plated 10/76.
Last rego sticker 10/78 NSW
engine number matches rego sticker.
No rust anywhere I looked Ie passenger foot well, sills,gutters,air intake tray,spare tyre well.....
no water marks under the dash, around the fusebox.
No fatigue around the clutch cable/firewall.
dash is good, paint is very good.
quarter vent glass is intact.
First service was due at 1000km and still on the window.Not done?? but on date reminder.
lots of oil marks/drips around the oil sender & on the gearbox below.
so mileage on the speedo must be wrong.
Is a very original car except for the front&back damage.
Measured the front and is about 30/35mm out on all bentley measurements.
Bad creasing on rear subframe(rh rear). wheel arch has pulled away from the floor(the black line). (rh rear 2).
Crease has gone all the way to the lh side (lh rear)
Don't know how well it would pull out on a jig?
To much for my liking but good for spares.
