swallow tails are the original golf and getting pretty rare now, this one seemed to be be fairly intact

I'm pretty sure it's the same one.
I contacted the person who listed it first and he said he was using his wife's account to list it (so the current listing might be from his own account, unless someone bought it first time simply to resell). He had relisted a purple 1976 Golf (which sold yesterday) so I was asking him some questions about it. Considering his auction says "I'm selling my other Golfs", I'd be inclined to say he has/had a few in the yard. He's a forum member but not active.
