I am tempted myself except for I do not have the time, knowlege or space for a MK1.

Compressor under the alternator... Black, different looking heater control panel where the radio would/should be.
Obviously doesn't say anything about it... but looks like it's got it to me?

that thing under the alternator is the air pump, part of the emissions stuff,

and i thiknk the black thing where the radio is, is the radio...

they never came with it from factory, so if it did, it'd be a hideously ugly aftermarket one that would probably replace the centre consol.

Air pump? News to me! Never seen that in a MK1 EGR system.

yea, well. not so much exhaust gas. but emissions related stuff.

That air pump. the funny thing on the front of the head that connects to it, the charcoal canisters in the rain tray and under the front right gaurd. prime spots for dirt to collect, and form rust!

early cars didn't have any of this.
