Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Volkswagen 1982 Passat GL5 .Fully imported and currently registered till April 2011. Engine is factory 2.1 litre 5 cylinder petrol Audi engine with 5 speed manual transmission. Clean velour interior. Options include power steering and headlamp washers. Has just had new suspension inserts and bushes. Goes very well and is economical and cruises nicely. Body good however clear coat on roof has gone off. Some spares. Rear seat folds perfectly flat for huge boot area. Good car that is very reliable.

      So it's a diesel with a petrol engine??

          I missed the part of the petrol engine haha. And was just going off the badge.
