Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Dont know what the engineering would be like on this, but whatever it would be, it'd be worth it. Pics say it all. Look at that dish!

      Engineering is top notch. This thing was built with NO expense spared. It was PVW cover car a few months back.

            mk2 20v T on BBS's are so common now in the uk, you just need to find the ones with the less rust in

              Not really, its basically a new car in a perfect MK2 shell. Cost over 20,000 pounds to build. Bargain I reckon.

                  You couldn't bring it over anyway. Its a 92 car and you can only bring over <89 cars, unless you own it for a year.

                    20 grand to build, i still wouldnt part with 8grand for it TBH

                    8000 pounds gets you ALOT of car in the uk now

                      Granted it does, with 8k to spend i'd be tempted by an E39 M5 or an old 911.
                      But for me this car would be the perfect blend of modern driveline in a classic shape. And with the price of Tax & fuel over there at the moment it woud be even appealing.

                        Having said that. I would be more tempted by a combination of this for 5K;
