I don't know from the looks of it that body has alot of rust which is the main reason why I wouldn't be taking it on.
Otherwise I would like the body since its a 3door.
is it possible to retrofit the s1 early style mk1 cluster into an s2 (cabrio/mk2 style) dash, it seems the space dofference with the clusters is quite small...doable???

I don't know the answer, but why would you do that ? Mk1 s2 dash/cluster look much better.
I'd have an early dash in preference to the later S2? dash anyday. For what its worth, I wouldn't touch that car. You have to ask why its at a wreckers, there must be mechanical or structural problems with it. Cheaper and quicker to find another one and add some bits.

cause theres a lot of uncracked s1 dash' out there isnt there???lol i raped it for its dash anywho custom fitting the s1 cluster to the s2 in order to maintain the originality etc
might need to grab a cabby cluster off loon to make it work, if he's got one. otherwise i think you'll have like an inch gap on the side of it i think.

Yeah true true I'm gonna make up a plate to slot in there or something of that sort I really wanna steer away from a different cluster
