Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Supercharged DBP MkIV R32

He says its the only one in the country, but i'm sure its not the same one that was on here and carsales for sale about 3 months ago?
VF Stage 2, 88000k's, $42000. Looks awesome but when there's 3 MkV R32's going cheaper with alot less K's (one has 20500k's) i find it hard to justify.

    Have a luke

It appears to be a very similar car to Alistair's (vwengolf) car with kw v3 and the SC and Haldex upgrade. Hmmmmm.....so tempting. Worth every dollar IMO. If only I had a money tree.

Ive met Mark the owner of this one a few times. It isnt the only charged R32 getting about but it was the first I believe.

He is a top bloke. Id have a chat to his mechanic. There were some innitial teething problems from memory in regards to the charger fitment or something but from what I understand that was sorted out and the car has since been quite reliable.

Yah I've seen this car, I used to see it nearly everyday down near the Alfred Hospital as you say he is a plastic surgeon operates on VWvortex under the name of plastic.

Car sounded good the few times I saw it go by One thing to note is when I did some research on this car a while back, he had his orginal Aristo's stolen so must have got the new ones from somewhere.

I dont think this is the supercharged R32 that used to live over here but went to Melbourne. I met the owner over here a few times and the car had a "supercharged" badge fitted on the boot. I could have been removed I suppose. He also had RS4 rep rims fitted just prior to selling it.

He's dropped the price from $42K to $37K already! Good deal for someone here!!

I see he's also added that he doesn't want anyone to test drive it, i'm guessing he just has to say that to eliminate time wasters putting K's on it, its a fair call, but i would never buy any car without driving it first.
