Who do you think buys Mk1s???

A few years ago, they were stilll being used as cheap runabouts and were worth a couple of thousand. Nowadays there are untold newer cars you can buy for that or a bit more money with air cond and power steeer etc.

Just means that Mk1s are only for the diehard enthusiasts, who want an immac 2 door manual, with some nice bits, or for peniless kids.

Everyone else who likes a vw as transport would get a Mk3 or Seat, for peanuts, which is cheap reliable transport with air.
