not to derail the sale potential if the member is on here, but what could be wrong with it or what are the potential problems?
(Aside from the obvious pitfalls of the innards exploding under too much load, etc) but i thought the Narrow Angle 6's are strong?MY02 Bora V6 4Mo|Matte Black plastidip|VTDA|R32 Exhaust|R32 dampers and springs|TT pedals|R32 steering wheel|17" 8L S3 rims|R32 sways|Blue Haldex|EBC reds

I'm a bit sus about this. If it's legit sorry but this person lives around the corner from me and I live in Wakerley not Carina (though just down the road). I drool over it every time I drive past cause it lives outside but has Euro style plates on it now, for a while it was driving uround with no plates. It's in great condition though.Originally posted by Dyldo View Postnot to derail the sale potential if the member is on here, but what could be wrong with it or what are the potential problems?

Been covered a million times before but:
- Not Well Looked After (previous owner thrashed the crap out of it destroying clutches etc). Don't know about current owner but he hasn't had it that long.
- Stupid canons
- This is the second car that the turbo kit has been fitted too. The first owner pulled it out after sinking something in the order of 30k into the kit and still not getting it right (specifically the tune).
- Don't know if the current owner has done a custom tune but the previous tune was rubbish due to the Australian R32s having different ECU coding to everyone else and therefore the US and Euro spec flashes not working for it.
- Power figure is optimistic at best.
Why if it's so good is it for sale again? The previous owner tried to sell it for something like a year starting at a stupid priced of $64k (what the car was new) and then sold it for around this price anyway.
The owner isn't a member on here. From what I here he doesn't care about VWs, just as long as it's a full sik turbo yo.
Shame really sums it up nicely.
Cheers,

I turbocharged an Escort RS2000 many years ago. spent all up around $25k on the mods.
It was an absolute pain-in-the-ass, always breaking down etc etc.
However, when it did work (when!) I couldnt drive it properly, coz the bulge in my trousers used to stop the steering wheel from rotating
the car was just sennnnnsational!
Its like dating that girl that your mum warned you about
As long as a prospective owner is up-front aware of the costs and problems, then there's no reason not to buy it. the good days will wipe out the memories of the bad ones ten-fold2007 Audi RS4 with: APR ECU Upgrade; JHM Quick Shifter; Milltek Catback and Downpipes; KW V3 Coilovers; Argon Creative Carbon Fibre Splitters

ive heard stories about this car engine management wise ecu being send overseas a few times, im a vw man and ive also have a couple evolution lancers one of which i had a aftermarket ecu fitted and i dont understand why people play with piggy backs, flash tuning and chips you spend the same money and some cases less for a full aftermarket option, in the case of a factory naturally aspirated car aftermarket is the best option and only option im my book none of this plug in rubbish full custom harness by pass all the crap

if the problems could be ironed out it could be a real tight car, those wheels look pretty good too. maybe dont quite fit it but they still look good i think....not they do fit at actually, i like them alot
