red paint has the least products in it to make "red" and is therefore a lighter paint, EG: lighter body, faster car

            This is 100% correct!

I went to see this car about two weeks before I got my Polo GTI from a dealer. The car was in great condition, only a slight scuff on one wheel. The 'computer' thingy on the dash is a Parrot bluetooth kit. It's also missing its rear wiper, though the guy said he had it. The tint is also darker than legal (at least on the front windows). The car drove well, although the left wheel is not aligned so it pulled to one side.

But the guy seemed bodgy. Ayser isn't the owner of the car. His 'friend who works 6 days a week' is the owner. The 'story' I was told was that he bought it as a financial repo from an auction for his wife, but the wife thinks it's too small, so they're just trying to get their money back.

Thinking that it was too good to be true, and worried about the 'bodgy' vibe I got from the guy, I paid the $18 to do an RTA vechicle history check.

I can confirm that the car is a repaired write off due to fire/smoke damage.

So yeah... if it seems too good to be true, it is!

...and if you want to be more technical....and the real reason behind why there is the comment 'red goes faster', correlates to the fact that light reflects off the colour red faster than any other colour.

When light enters a medium (such as paint) it can be slowed by that medium. Red wavelengths are about 700nm compared to blue's 400nm. Although ALL light travels at the same speed, red being 'faster' relates to the speed it reflects off a medium.

                ....my head hurts

Those theories are great but if you're over weight and drive a red car it = slow. haha

I'm with Blizten I reckon it's Koz's old car since I've seen it before.

Sounds like it's from Lakemba/Bankstown/Greenacre/Revesby etc?

I'd be very careful buying a car of anyone that is middle eastern in Sydney.

Well... I get the 'vibe' you're giving off and not that I'm supportive of that, but yeah, it was in that area
