The offset looks stupidly low already mate, I reckon you'll have a fat chance if you don't change your hubs to the right stud pattern to begin with

Actually, the 8.5" wide versions had offsets in the 40s/50s - I remember reading up on a Vortex thread about them. The 8" ones for sale on eBay, not so sure.
                      Past: Mk3 Golf 2L 8V, Audi 8L A3T.
                      Present: Mk3 Golf variant.

The guy may have mis-measured? I've found specs on the net to be 16x8.5 et38? anyone confirm . . . .

:edit: More research reveals an offset of 32mm and 16x8.5, running the minimum 15mm adapters would bring the offset down to 17! these specs would explain the poke on the above dubs!

20mm adapters at that offset would mean a ridiculous mk1. mk3 on the other hand.... orsm.

38-15 is 23..... not 17. But going with a 20mm spacer. final ET of 18, which might not actually be low enough to clear a mk 1 with coils, just cause it's such a wide wheel.

you can clear coilovers with ET18 easy!! 16x8 not a problem i had 16x7 with a et of 25 and they cleared, the guards will be a diffrent issue though, youll need to roll them
