Why would 78,000ks business use by a female be bad?

This GTI looks like a good buy, still has a bit of factory warranty left so wty can also be extended. Still a long way away from the big 120,000k service. Sunroof, DSG.

There's something a bit fishy about the R32, though - it's a 2007 but insurance paid out $68,000 and they also have the car available to sell - ???? Doesn't ring true.

Statutory write-off: a vehicle that is too badly damaged to be repaired to a standard that is safe for road use, therefore it is suitable only for use as parts or scrap. The vehicle will not be allowed to be re-registered. These vehicles include: - A motor vehicle or trailer, other than a motorbike, that has been immersed:

• in salt water above the doorsill level for any period
• in fresh water up to the dashboard or steering wheel for more than 48 hours

- A motorbike that has been fully immersed:

- A motor vehicle or trailer that has been burnt to the extent that it is fit only for wrecking or scrap. - A motor vehicle or trailer that has been stripped of all, or a combination or most, interior and exterior body parts, panels and components. Given that the electronics are still working in the dash (note display in binnacle) and no apparent clouding on the headlights, I would say it is salt water damage. The reason they write them off is due to salt water getting into every area below the sill line potentially leading to premature rusting of the underbody, bottoms of the pillars, water channels etc.
