Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Damnit! Why couldn't subaru have specified their cars to have offsets in the 30-40 range.

I have seen a set of these on a GTI polo, they looked pretty good.

These are my wheels! check out my sig!!

All you need are some 20mm spacers and your set

A great upgrade from the factory 15's on the VR6

They are a pretty high offset, around +45 IIRC
Isn't the CB the wrong size aswell?
Nice wheel but, looks great on VR's

45 sounds like the standard offset of my steelies, I'd snap these up if they were a definite fit!

                I don't get it...the wheels I have atm are 16x7 ET43. 2mm won't make a difference lol.

Here's the facts (last page) .....

                  BBS 17x7JJ ET55 !!!

                  For my Bora (1010tires.com):
Current Wheel Specs - Width 6.5 inches Offset 42 mm
New Wheel Specs - Width 7.0 inches Offset 55 mm

Inner Clearance: 19mm less (the inside of the wheel to the strut housing)
Outer Position: Retract by 7mm (position of the outside edge of the wheel)

So I would need at minimum 15-20mm spacers and not hubcentric!
