Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • NSW mk3 golf rear calliper slider pins or caliper carriers

looking for at least 2 rear caliper slider pins and boots for the rear of my mk3 golf.

mine where seized in the caliper and have damaged them trying to free them up.

have got replacement calipers but did not come with the carriers or the pins, so I need at a minimum 2 pins and 2 dust boots to get me going again.

will need to have them posted to me.

    Thanks
    Brendan

yes i am led to believe that all mk3 rear disc brakes are interchangeable.

Still looking for the correct carrier and pins......had a set arrived today but, they aren't the right ones

here's the pics of what I need

they are about 70mm long and about 8.4 mm in diameter, one looks like it has 3 small flat sections on the pin and the other steps down in diameter 3 times

Boot has Girling 32320498 on it

This is my caliper in case you need to see that as well, I don't need a caliper, but will take one if I have to so I can get what I need
