    Just incase you weren't aware - you can't just fit a K04 - you'll need all supporting mods too which go along the lines of:

    New TIP
    Injectors
    Downpipe
    Boost Pipes
    Intercooler - unless you mod your intercooler pipes to fit
    Oil/Coolant lines
    Exhaust Manifold
    ECU Tune

    So you need all of the above to go K04 - K03S is a straight swap.

      i have a k04 for sale including the manifold, downpipe and dv recirc pipe. i have it advertised for $1,000 if your interested. it has done approx 22,000k's and was removed to fit a k04 hybrid...

        Different K04 mate, he needs an old one for a MK4. Cant understand why yours hasn't gone yet.

          thanks mate, oops, didn't take note of mk4. i thought the turbo would have gone too with some other bits thrown in. i'll do a better add with photos etc when i'm back and hope that shifts it...

          apologies to op, i got the wrong golf model...

            thanks for watching out for me nightphotographer !

            Yeah I undestand the k04 requires more work than a k03s but the gains are definitely better if its the one from the s3.

            Just hoping one of the boys are selling the whole kit. Would be soo much cheaper than buying brand new

              were there any mk4's sold with the aum motor in aus ?
              that would make things easier too but from doing a few vin checks I think we only ever had the agu motors delivered.

                Nope, only got AGUs here. Some facelift A3s had the AUM though.

                The S3 K04 is different to the K03. So you can't use the Golf downpipe.

                  The basic rule is , all DBC got big ports smaller turbo , DBW got small ports bigger turbo (either KO3s or KO4)
                  You can run a KO4-001 with just a tune and a slightly bigger FPR . You wont get the most out of it but it will work
                  I have a KO4 if youre interested

                    Thanks for clearing that up Gavin ! Too bad we don't get the aum motors. That would've been awesome.
                    Doing a k04 conversion from a s3 is going to be costly from what I read.
