Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • NSW WTB: mk1 brakes

    Howdy guys,

If you refer to my thread in the mk1 section of the forum, you will see that me and a mate are doing the ****box rally in a 79 golf mk 1 1.6l..
For those who dont know, the rally is a charity rally to raise money for the cancer council.. you need a car worth less than $1000, to drive 4000ks across Aus.. after you raise over $4k for charity.

Anyways.. our golf has horrible/non-existent brakes.. so looking for dome new rotors and pads.. due to nature of rally and keeping under the $1000 car limit, they need to be cheap

So if anyone has any suitable brakes laying around, or knows where to acquire some cheap that would be awesome.

    Thanks
Working...
