Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. • WA Mk2 golf wiring loom

Is anyone wrecking a mk2 golf??? I am after the engine wiring harness, the earlier pre 90 spec CE1 fuse box type. It goes from the fuse box under the dash into the engine bay and has the stuff for the engine and the wiper motor on it, after much difficulty sorting out my wiring on my mk2 I have come to realise that this particular harness section is missing. I would happily just make a new one with all the stuff I need on it but I still need the 30 or so pin connector plug to plug into my CE1 fusebox.

Can anyone help me out? or know of any places on the net making new ones?

Should have one. Got any pics of the connector or what it needs to plug into?

      Central Electric 1

Have a look at the fuse box on this page, its the Ce1 fusebox. Plug D is the one where the engine harness goes into and its what I am missing. Apparantly all the 90 spec mk2 have the newer CE2 style fusebox making it just that little bit harder for me to source one.

This is a pic of the rear of the CE1 fusebox. Plug D it is, that's where its from.
