  • VIC Borrow/Rent/Buy MKIV Stock Struts & Rear Taillights for Bora 4mo (Golf R32) (RWC)

    Hi all,

My car has just gone through a rwc inspection and failed for a number of reasons including being too low on coilovers and a crack in the rear tail light.

I only want to clear roadworthy and put the coils back into the car so I was wondering if anyone has a set of stock suspension for my Bora 4motion that I could borrow or "rent" for a bit of cash or a case of beer?

Otherwise, I'd consider buying a set if it's cheap enough, just to have
in-case I ever get defected for it by the fuzz.

The front end of the Bora is like any Golf, it's only the back that's different due to having an IRS setup, but I might be able to get away with winding up the strut and fitting stock springs so I think I could do easily with just front struts.

Also, anyone have a right hand "Oceans"/"GLI" style taillight I can buy?
Struggling to find any at my local wreckers.

    Item:
Stock set of suspension for my Bora 4motion to clear my car for a roadworthy inspection.
Item Condition: Roadworthy passable. No collapsed or leaking shocks.
Reason for purchase: Car came with Coilovers. Apparently illegal in Vic and I need to fit stock/standard suspension.

Item: Bora Rear taillights. I have the "oceans" or "gli" style tail lights and the right hand side has a crack in it.
In reality I only need the RHS taillight, but if you have a full standard set (i.e. candycane or whatever else non-'oceans' style) you're willing to lend out then I could at least pass rwc and then worry about replacing my cracked tail light in the future.
    Item Condition: Roadworthy passable.
Reason for purchase: Cracked RHS tail light.

Are you still in need of stock mk4 golf struts?

      Hi buddy,

I do need front struts, but I can only fit up Golf R32 struts or Bora 4motion ones. AWD model struts have different mounting points for the swaybar on the actual strut itself.
