VIC WTB MK3 Leather Seats to suit VR6

Hey lads,

I'm looking for a full set of mk3 leather seats, hoping someone wrecking a vr6 might have a set. I've called up a few places and been hunting around a few wreckers and noone seems to have any so I figured I'd ask here.

On a side note if anyone wrecking with a leather interior / selling leather seats has the doorcards as well it'd be even better.

I do have a full set with leather door cards and the like. How much were you looking to spend?

Haha I hadn't expected such a quick reply! I've just been looking around I hadn't thought too much about it, do you have a price in mind?

Well for a set in top shape you'd normally pay around $1000. Is that what you were expecting?

Uhm I was expecting like half of that? What condition are they in?

In top shape. You may get away with a decent set with no door cards for $500 though.

I was in the same positon as you before I bought my set. I considered trying to maybe fit some seats from another car too. The WRX or Alfa Romeo seats aren't too bad for what they are you just need to weld the bases to your current setup. Although in the end I just went for a genuine MK3 leather set.

I have a set from a Bora / G4 that are black and decent. They can be modifed to fit a VR6 relatively easily and you can cut the brackets out of the bora if you want. Plus 10 years newer than your VR6. $500, no doorcards

I have been considering putting some non-mk3 seats in, are the ones from the bora the same as the mk4 golf seats in terms of installation? One thing im worried about as well with doing that install is whether or not I'll have any trouble with getting a roadworthy after I put them in for any reason. What do you reckon?
